Luciana’s Grandma’s recipe for sour cream pound cake
Ingredients for Cake
| 1/2 lb | margarine | |
| 1 cup | sugar | |
| 3 cups | cake flour (Presto) | |
| 1 tsp | baking soda | |
| 3 | eggs | |
| 3 cups | flour | |
| 1 tsp | vanilla extract | |
| 16 oz | sour cream |
Ingredients for Filling
| 1/2 cup | white sugar | |
| 2 tsp | brown sugar | |
| 1/2 cup | chopped walnuts | |
| 2 tsp | cinnamon |
Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit
Butter the pan (make sure to get all the nooks and crannies), sprinkle flour all around and then tap the pan to get the excess flour out
Sift all of the dry ingredients for the cake into a bowl
Cream butter and sugar. Then add the eggs, beating them one at a time before being mixed in. Add vanilla extract. (Have hand mixer on med/low speed)
Fold in flour and cream by splitting flour mixture and sour cream in hald at a time and continue to hand mix until even
Pour half of the batter into the pan. Make a dop in the middle with a spoon and add the filling. Then put the rest of the batter on top
Bake for 55 mins, the let sit in the oven for 5
Put on a cooling rack for ~ 30 mins before enjoying
