Luciana’s recipe for apple bars
Ingredients
| 2 1/2 cups | rolled oats | |
| 1/4 cup | ground flax seed | |
| 1/4 cup | oat bran & wheat bran | |
| 1/2 tsp | salt | |
| 2 tsp | baking powder | |
| 1 tsp | cinnamon | |
| 1/3 cup | sugar | |
| 1/4 cup | flaked coconut (optional) | |
| 1 cup | milk | |
| 1/4 cup | honey | |
| 1 | egg, beaten | |
| 1 tsp | vanilla extract | |
| 1 | apple, diced finely | |
| 2/3 cup | chopped almonds |
Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit
Mix all dry ingredients together, and all wet ingredients together in separate bowls
Fold in the dry ingredients with the wet, and mix well
Place dough into a greased pan
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until edges are light brown
Let cool for 10 minutes before enjoying
