Apple Bars

Luciana’s recipe for apple bars


Ingredients

2 1/2 cups rolled oats
1/4 cup ground flax seed
1/4 cup oat bran & wheat bran
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup flaked coconut (optional)
1 cup milk
1/4 cup honey
1 egg, beaten
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 apple, diced finely
2/3 cup chopped almonds

Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit


Mix all dry ingredients together, and all wet ingredients together in separate bowls


Fold in the dry ingredients with the wet, and mix well


Place dough into a greased pan


Bake for 15-20 minutes or until edges are light brown


Let cool for 10 minutes before enjoying
